Katharagama... Ohh god i love this place. Because i was being in to the twenty time in my life.every people, i mean Sinhalese , Tamil , Muslims, many types of people go this place. Because Katharagama is a multy religious  sacred town as it contains an islamic mosque within it's temple complex as well.

The god of katharagama is a guardian of Buddhism and of srilanka. Beginning with the new moon of esala , the festival processing of lord katharagama proceeds for it's nightly visit  to the valli amman temple.
